Aqua Soil
Aqua soil, also called active substrate, is essential for planted tanks and a must-have for Caridina shrimp tanks. It buffers the water and lowers the pH, creating the soft, acidic conditions that Caridina shrimp need to thrive and breed. Aqua soil is the heart of your shrimp tank—without it, successful breeding is very difficult.
You can use active soil in different setups, including undergravel filters (UGF), or as a thin or thick layer spread across the tank bottom.
