Caridina shrimp
Caridina shrimp are considered the most beautiful type of aquarium shrimp for sure! They thrive in soft, slightly acidic water. Breeding and crossbreeding Caridina can be very rewarding, allowing aquarists to create unique shrimp with distinct colors and patterns — this is how many of today’s fancy shrimp varieties have been selectively bred. I have been breeding Caridina shrimp for almost 10 years now, and I’m in love with this type of aquarium shrimp. I’m happy to share my passion with you all and offer some of my shrimp for sale in my store.
Neocaridina shrimp
Neocaridina, such as Cherry Shrimp, are among the hardiest and most adaptable freshwater shrimp species, making them ideal for beginners as they can tolerate a wide range of water conditions. They thrive in slightly alkaline water with a pH range between 6 and 8. Neocaridina prefer moderately hard water, with KH levels between 1 and 5 and GH levels around 4 to 7. Even though I like to keep Caridina shrimp, Neocaridina still have a special place in my heart because they were my very first aquarium shrimp. I still breed them in a few of my tanks and sell some in my shop!
